About Me:
My name is Jamie Mosel. I am a 2012 graduate of St. Olaf College, with majors in history and biology. I also have a Master of Science from the College of Forestry at Oregon State University. I have a PhD from the University of Minnesota (Natural Resources Science and Management program), and work as an Extension Educator focused on Climate Resilience in forestry and natural resources at the University of Minnesota Climate Adaptation Partnership. I have a specific interest in forest science, climate change research, and ecology, and have previously studied in Hokkaido (Japan) and Australia. My interest in history persists, with a particular focus on environmental fields, social justice, and interdisciplinary work. Art is also one of my pursuits. Primarily, I use watercolors and acrylics. I have done illustration work in the past, and am always interested in new projects. Among my adventures includes a 2,000 mile bike ride in 2014 following the proposed route of the Keystone XL pipeline from Houston to the Canadian border (EARTH RIDE). In recent years, I have also taken up trail ultra-marathons. I enjoy writing, learning, being active, and running. This site is a collection of my experiences. Please have a look around. . . |
